A 79-year-old woman
A 79-year-old woman died after being hit by a car while walking on Bury New Road, Prestwich, on 5 February.
She was the ninth person known to have died on Greater Manchester’s roads in 2026.
Driver, a man in his 40s, arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving; later bailed.
